Statutes & Regulations

The Nisg̱a’a Nation has the right to self-government and the authority to make laws. Under the Treaty, Nisg̱a’a Government has the authority to pass laws on a broad range of matters. At the same time, Nisg̱a’a lawmaking authority is concurrent with federal and provincial authority. Wilp Si’ayuukhl Nisg̱a’a is the 36-member legislative body responsible for considering and passing Nisg̱a’a Lisims Government laws.

Please note, the Nisg̱a’a Lisims Government is in the process of making available all current versions of Nisg̱a’a law on this new site, so not all Nisg̱a’a laws and regulations enacted by the Nisg̱a’a Lisims Government are presently listed in the following sections.
